Donation
Our organization operates on a model where each member is responsible for providing their own necessary equipment and internet connections. However, there are additional annual expenses totaling approximately ¥900,000. These include maintenance fees for IP addresses and AS numbers paid to JPNIC, rack space rental costs for dedicated network connection points (POPs) outside members’ homes, transportation expenses for equipment and supplies to these POPs, and consumable materials.
Since our foundation about a decade ago, significant societal changes have occurred, including rising prices and currency fluctuations. Additionally, some corporate partners who have been providing special service terms since our founding have experienced personnel changes or staff turnover, making it increasingly uncertain whether their continued support can be maintained. To ensure our organization can continue its activities into the future, we are now requesting donations from those who share our mission and wish to support our work.
How Donations Will Be Used
All donations will be managed appropriately and allocated to cover our operational expenses (including IP address fees, network service costs, and rack colocation fees). We will use these funds effectively and carefully, with detailed financial reports provided annually.
How to Make a Donation
Online Payment Method
Donations can be made through our Stripe online payment system using credit cards. Donation amounts can be selected from the following options: ¥500, ¥1,000, ¥3,000, ¥5,000, ¥10,000, or ¥50,000. Monthly recurring donations are also available, allowing you to automatically contribute the same amount each month. Monthly donations require account registration. Important Notes
- As we are a general incorporated association, there are no tax benefits associated with donations made to our organization.
- Corporate donations to general incorporated associations are treated as standard charitable contributions, with only the amount up to the general charitable donation tax deduction limit being eligible for tax deductions.
- Online donation receipts are automatically sent via email when you provide your address during payment. If you do not receive your receipt, please contact secretariat@homenoc.ad.jp.
- Partial or full cancellation of donations is not permitted. If you accidentally made an incorrect donation amount using online payment, please contact us via email at secretariat@homenoc.ad.jp for possible cancellation.
- No benefits or compensation of any kind may be provided in return for donations.
